Your philosophy has got me here today.

It’s helped me stand to my feet in a storm or two, and I think of you wherever and no matter how far I go.

You have learned me lessons my GCSEs, courses and much more ever have:

Be kind, be generous, share everything, be a man of your word because your word is your bond, respect everything, work damn hard, respect the ground you walk on and always have time for everyone because seeing the good in people is the good in you.

I don’t always get it right like you, we are humbled to a fault, yet that’s where your wisdom shines that gleaming torch because in your world of 84 years you’re not usually far off.

Thank you for everything you do for me.
